Virtual Google @ TU Munich Visit

About this event

TU Munich (TUM) and Google already collaborate in many fields, Google is a partner of excellence of TUM, and based on the growing Google office in Munich, e.g. with our Arnulfpost project and our Google Safety Engineering Center, we hope to see even more opportunities for collaboration in the future! 🌟

To celebrate this and allow students and faculty of TUM to meet with researchers and engineers working at Google and vice versa, we will run a "Virtual Google @ TUM visit" on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 5:00 pm CEST ( YouTube live stream: https://youtu.be/OgRSIhOEfB8 )

  • Hosted by Prof. Kramer (Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation at TU Munich) and Dr. Wieland Holfelder (Vice President Engineering & Site Lead Google Munich)
  • Keynotes by Dr. Jeff Dean (Google employee #30 & SVP of Google Research and Google Health) and Royal Hansen (Global VP Engineering of Privacy, Safety & Security)

The YouTube live stream is open for everyone, while TUM students will have the extra opportunity to participate in the following two formats:

  1. Q&A with Jeff Dean and Royal Hansen (YouTube live stream)
  2. Individual ‘Chat with Google’ sessions with Jeff Dean, Royal Hansen, and Wieland Holfelder for interested MSc or Ph.D. students (Google Meet with groups of 10-15 students each)
IMPORTANT: All students of TUM are invited to submit questions for the Q&A and to apply to join one of the Chat with Google sessions via this form by April 25th to RSVP!
