About this event

🌟 Welcome to the Solution Challenge Ideathon! 🌟

1️⃣ What is the Solution Challenge?
This is more than a competition—it's your chance to innovate and tackle real-world issues. The mission is clear: address the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals using Google technology. The hackathon spans 3 months, closing submissions on February 22nd, 2024. Win big with a $3,000 cash prize per team member, a feature in the Google Developers Blog, global Demo Day live stream exposure, mentorship from a Google expert, exclusive swag, and a certificate.

2️⃣ So then.. what is the Solution Challenge Ideathon?
We know beginnings are hard and scary, so the GDSCs in Europe decided to help students to get started with their projects by hosting a 3-day-long Solution Challenge Ideathon. The ideathon is held across Europe in an online format. Excitingly, GDSC Munich is one of the few Google Developer Student Clubs selected to host an on-site ideathon!
We will help you to kickstart working on the Solution Challenge problems with the help of mentors from Google and submit ahead of time. And guess what? We have an impressive lineup of speakers covering Flutter, LLM, and Firebase. Plus, benefit from the expertise of Google mentors and insights from past Solution Challenge champions. They'll guide you, answer questions, and navigate the Google tech landscape with you. This ideathon is an amazing opportunity to dive deep into your solution and problems and get help!

Furthermore... we will not leave you empty-handed. You will have an opportunity to win TWO fantastic prizes: — both Europe-wide and locally at the GDSC Munich event. The prizes for each member of the local TOP-3 winning teams include the following:

🥇 1st Place: Google Chromecast (4K) - Transform your viewing experience!

🥈 2nd Place: Google Nest Mini - Elevate your smart home setup!

🥉 3rd Place: Google Gift Card worth 30€ - Treat yourself with Google goodies!

The prizes for the European winning teams are still a secret 🤫

4️⃣ Fuel Up with Catering
We've got you covered! Enjoy delicious catering throughout the event, ensuring you stay energized as you code, collaborate, and create.
