It is an absolute delight that as students, we have been given an opportunity to participate in an

event that celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Federal University of Technology Akure.

Celebrating 40 years of an institution that has grown in size, importance, and relevance and is

now well placed to be a serious force in supporting industry in Ondo State, Nigeria, and West Africa.

As we think about the future, we reflect on the quality of service the University has produced in

reaching its vision “To be one of the best Universities of Technology in the world, committed to

carving an enviable niche for itself as a center of excellence, epitomized by high-quality programs,

products, and contributions in the society”

As Representatives of the student populace, we will like to Host a CELEBRATION OF

INNOVATION & a TECH OPEN HACK during the 7-day Anniversary celebration. The aim of this

event is to recognize alumni and students of the University who are excelling in various career and

entrepreneurial fields and to also create a structure that supports further technological

innovation by the present and future students of the Institution through a yearly contest themed

FUTA OPEN HACK.
