The Google Developer Student Clubs program is aimed at bridging the gap between theory and practice for student developers while giving them the opportunity to connect with other student developers and grow as members of the community.

The GDSC aims to inculcate the spirit of problem solving by creating a peer to peer learning experience that fosters curiosity to tackle the latest challenges. These challenges range from creating solutions for small businesses all the way up to cracking pressing issues at the global level. To bud a new generation of problem solvers, it creates an environment to:

1. Connect with like-minded students with no distinction due to backgrounds. It is open to as many that wish to participate.

2. Learn about a diverse range of topics from issues relating to artificial intelligence, block chain etc. It achieves this through many workshops, events and talks; both online and in-person.

3. Grow through applying new learnings to solve real-world problems. The community ensures a helpful and cooperative environment.

As Nigerians and human beings in general we have many problems and this initiative from Google hopes to equip us with the necessary technologies and skills to tackle those problems. The problems facing our country in areas such as farming, corruption and banking crisis can be solved with the power of technology and collaboration. These are the pillars of GDSC. Welcome to the Google Developer Student Club at Nile University of Nigeria.
