Welcome to the Chapter page for GDSC at Jacobs! Founded in 2021, we are the official Google Developer Students’ Club at Jacobs University and the only GDSC from Bremen, Germany. GDSC at Jacobs is a community of technology enthusiasts that focuses on encouragement and growth for those interested in development. We offer a peer-to-peer environment where students can grow their knowledge and build projects for the community around them. We aim to be inclusive, diverse, and open to everyone, from beginners to pros. Through a range of skill and career development events, we help students develop their software interests into their hobbies and their hobbies into their careers!

FAQs:

Do we need any sort of development experience for attending events organized by the club? Although prior experience is definitely a plus, it is not a prerequisite for many of our events.

What kind of activities would GDSC at Jacobs organize? We will organize a lot of tech and career-related events, including but not bound to workshops, seminars, info sessions, invited speaker talks, study jams, coding jams, and Hackathons.

Can anyone attend events organized by GDSC at Jacobs? Yes! Both the in-person and online events are generally open to everyone. Some in-person events are open only to Jacobs students. Scroll down to take a look at our upcoming events!

How can I join the Core team? The Core team is selected at the start of each academic year. Keep an eye out in your inbox for whenever the applications open!
