extendED: A GDSC Cagayan de Oro Study Jams is a city-wide three-day
event organized by the GDSC Chapters in Cagayan de Oro - GDSC USTP,
GDSC STI College Cagayan de Oro, and GDSC Xavier Ateneo. This event aims to
help participants prepare for the Annual Google Solutions Challenge by teaching
them on how to build software applications using Google technologies such as
Flutter, Firebase, and TensorFlow. With the aid of professionals, this will also
provide participants a chance to learn more about Google Technologies and utilize
them in innovating new technologies to solve problems in the community.
extendED came from the two combined words, ‘extend’ that means to
widen and ‘ED’ which means to educate. This event is a series of seminars and
workshops that let people, specifically students enrolled in the different universities
in Cagayan de Oro, learn and engage with newer trends of technologies such as
machine learning, mobile development, and data analytics.
