About this event

Do you need to be a CS major to work in the tech field? Curious what your day to day would look like in various tech fields? Come join us for our invited alums who are currently working as a Software Engineer, a Product Manager, and a Machine Learning Engineer!

Meet the Panelists:

Katie Sundstrom ('14, she/her); Software Engineer at Etsy. After studying music at Wellesley and getting her Master of Music at William Paterson University, she worked for a few years in the music industry and social justice space. She attended a web development bootcamp, the Grace Hopper Program, to change careers, and has been at Etsy ever since (about 1.5 years.) She is an engineer on the Global Product Compliance team, a team that works on keeping Etsy legally compliant for sellers across the globe. She also co-leads Sustainable Compute, an Etsy task force pioneering energy reduction strategies and best practices for the tech industry.

Brie Maurer ('20) is a Machine Learning Engineer at IOMAXIS subsequent to completing her undergraduate degree in Mathematics, with a concentration in Statistics and Computer Science. Since graduating she has continued my education with the MITx Data Science Micromasters program.
