All about HacktoberFest, Github and Gitlab

About this event

It's about time Hacktoberfest makes a return this year.

What is this all about?

Hosted by DigitalOcean for the 8th year in a row, Hacktoberfest encourages those all over the world to give back to the Open-Source community by completing pull requests, participating in events, and donating to open source projects. Folks that submit four or more approved pull requests to participating projects on GitHub and GitLab earn the chance to get a Hacktoberfest t-shirt or plant a tree as a reward.

Learn more about it on their website ( )

We are organizing a Hands-On Session with a complete introduction on Github and Gitlab for students and participants of HacktoberFest so that they can kickstart their Open-Source Development Journey.

If you have any questions about the program or any open-source related doubts, then feel free to ask them in the interactive session.
