In this virtual buildathon from Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13, join medical professionals, engineers, designers, and business experts from across the globe in tackling challenges in digital health.
Participants will have the opportunity to leverage CardinalKit — an open-source framework that uses Google Cloud, which is FedRAMP high authorized and provides a secure, HIPAA-compliant backend, along with Apple's ResearchKit, CareKit, and HealthKit/FHIR integration on iOS— to more easily deploy digital health research applications. During this hands-on event, the CardinalKit team, as well as Google Cloud and Apple Health engineers will be serving as mentors and conducting office hours to answer your specific questions. This event is being offered in collaboration with the Stanford Health Innovations in Future Technologies (SHIFT) student organization. It is virtual, free and open to everyone.
Google Cloud is offering up to $5,000 in cloud credits and guidance from Google developers to select hackathon projects focused on building solutions for challenges related to COVID-19. You will also have the opportunity to interact with mentors from Stanford Biodesign who built CardinalKit, and spend 1-1 time with Google Cloud and Apple Health engineers during our virtual office hours. You will receive feedback from an esteemed panel of judges, including the Stanford Hospital Digital Health Leadership. To learn more, please visit our Buildathon website.
