About this event

"Women in Tech: Unlocking Opportunities and Building Essential Skills" is an empowering event hosted by the Google Developer Student Club at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This event aims to inspire and educate girls and women in the tech community by addressing their challenges, such as overcoming gender bias and navigating the tech industry. Attendees will be able to hear from experienced and passionate speakers who will share their insights, discuss the importance of soft skills, and guide them in securing internships and full-time jobs.

This hybrid event welcomes participants both in-person and virtually. By attending, participants will not only gain valuable knowledge but also have the chance to connect with industry professionals and fellow students. The event will feature inspiring speakers such as Sarah Goodfellow, a Women Tech Maker Ambassador and Web Developer at Sellars Absorbent Materials; Apoorva Sharma, Head of Global Cross-Product Solutions, SMB at Google; Morgan (Mitchell) Bell, a Product Manager at Google; and Kübra Zengin, a Program Manager at Google
