I am a computer scientist with a strong foundation in computer vision and artificial intelligence, currently working as a Research Associate at Texas A&M University (Soil and Crop Sciences department). I'm also a Google developer expert in ML. For the past five years, my research has focused on developing open-source software solutions that allow farmers and researchers to extract physiological information from their crops. Working on this time, I became aware of the importance of high-throughput phenotyping and the lack of robust software tools for analysis. This epiphany created a desire within me to apply computer vision techniques to the field of agriculture.
