The Career Crawl Networking Event aims to expose students to a variety of industries, companies, and positions in tech. This event is an opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge, gain connections, and ultimately prepare students for their journey in tech.
The goal of this event is to lessen the gap in understanding between students and careers in tech. This event is to promote exposure, creating connections, and learning through others’ experiences and advice.

Stephen Gou is the model efficiency team lead and a founding engineer at Cohere. His team focuses on optimizing large transformer models and developing inference framework. Previously, Stephen did applied research on perception and prediction models in self-driving cars at Uber ATG. He also had several years of software engineering experience in rendering engine and physics simulation. Stephen holds a master’s degree in computer science from University of Toronto, a master’s degree in computer graphics from University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor degree in mathematics from Duke University.
Shahryar is aspiring entrepreneur and professional speaker currently working in Tech. He graduated in 2021 from UofT, studying Philosophy and decided to journey into sales so he could build the skills needed to be an incredible entrepreneur. Currently, Shahryar works at Momentive.ai as an Account Executive.
Currently working at TD as an Associate Software Developer, Samandeep is a Sheridan College Alumni establishing himself in IT.
Brian Li is a Sr. Product Manager at Knix. He has worked at various companies in the FinTech industry such as Affirm & Affirm. His journey to become a Product Manager would be classified as unconventional as a religious studies major graduate. Curtis Raymond is a passionate analytical leader with an array of experience in business intelligence, data science, and machine learning applications.
As Manager of Data Science at Priceline, Curtis leads a highly engaged team of data scientists focused on delivering scalable machine learning based solutions to drive both business growth and value. He also has a shared responsibility for the Hotel and Flight Analytics vision, roadmap, and implementation of analytical frameworks for Data Science driven initiatives.
Prior to joining Priceline, Curtis held multiple analytical positions at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). It was during his time at RBC that his passion for Data Science flourished as he leveraged analytical tactics to support his work in financial modeling. His responsibilities ranged from creating scalable econometric models that supported Enterprise Stress Testing efforts, to developing data driven solutions that impacted the Senior Executive team.
Curtis holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Honors Finance from York University and a Master of Management Analytics from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. Curtis is also a level 3 CFA candidate.
