Do you want to learn how to build your very first Android application? Join us for an Android Basics workshop on March 5th from 3pm to 5pm! We will host it through Zoom. Prior to the event: - Set up the Latest Android Studio - Once Android studio is set up, I recommend creating an emulator or being comfortable installing the application on your personal phone (requires developer mode to be enabled). Sometimes setting up the emulator on a Windows machine can be annoying. It's a one time thing when you first set it up but requires some steps. This link walks through the setup for Windows. Specifically want to call out this note: "Note: Virtualization extensions are typically enabled through your computer BIOS and are frequently turned off by default. Check the documentation for your motherboard to find out how to enable virtualization extensions.” On Mac, setting up an emulator is straightforward. If you have any questions and/or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to us!
