The Hackathon event of the year is nearly here! We’re teaming up with our “friends” from GDSC Portsmouth for a weekend of fun, creativity and friendly rivalry.

Join us on the 19th and 20th March 2022 from 10am to 5pm, in-person for a social hack weekend like no other to build something awesome and the opportunity to win a whole bunch of prizes.

What can I build?

You can build anything you like! We’ve also got some suggested categories that you could build within since we know that choosing anything can be a bit overwhelming.

Do I need a team?

Building something awesome with a team is always a great experience.

If you don’t have a team, there will be plenty of time to find some people to build with!

Is it a competition?

It doesn’t have to be! At the end of the weekend, a panel of judges will select some winners from everything that has been created. If all goes to plan, Southampton will sweep Portsmouth so that we can establish our dominance over the South.

With that said, Hackathon events are great fun. Come along and try something new.

What will winners get? 

Our top 3 winners will get a bunch of amazing Google Goodies and Swags. In addition, winners will get an initial consultation session with Future Worlds if they interested to let their ideas see the light and want to pursue them as startups!

Extra bits

💻 Bring your own materials. Laptops, Raspberry Pis, arts, crafts, anything you need!

🧙‍♂️ You don’t have to be a coder. It takes a wide range of skills to make a good hackathon team.

🍕 We will be providing catering and drinks over the weekend.

      We will going to have judges from different will known companies, like Spotify for example! Full list of judges and agenda will be released soon!
