The AlgOlympics will challenge participants to solve algorithmic problems that require programming skills and knowledge of various programming languages. This competition is designed to test the problem-solving skills of participants while also providing an opportunity to learn from their peers and share their knowledge. The Amazing Race component of the event will require participants to work together in randomly assigned groups to complete a series of technology-related challenges. These challenges will require participants to use their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to complete various tasks that will ultimately lead them to the finish line. The event will feature a series of challenges that will put participants' programming skills to the test. The challenges will include games such as CodeCombat, LightBot, Scratch, and Code.org. Participants will compete in teams to complete the challenges as fast and accurately as possible. The winning team will be crowned as the AlgOlympics champion and receive prizes. The event is designed to be inclusive, and participants from all backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome to participate. The event will also provide an opportunity for participants to get to know new people from different faculties and programs, as they will be randomly assigned to groups. Through this event, we hope to encourage students to develop their skills in technology, connect with other like-minded individuals, and have fun while doing so. The event is open to all students of the university and will be an exciting addition to the SINA-AD Festival. We look forward to seeing you all at Devy’s Dungeon!
