Pimp My Site is UI/UX hackathon driven by the idea of learning by competing. The competiton calls on designers and creatives alike to gather in teams and redesign a website or mobile application infamous for bad user experience using a design tool of their choice. This year we would like to target a few government websites that have received countrywide critique over the years for the same issue.
To participate in Pimp My Site, teams will be required to pick one of the five government websites listed below for redesign:
The goal is to first identify the UI/UX issues present on the site. Afterward, the teams will be required to conduct user research pertaining their selected site. Finally the team will redesign the site using Figma, and finally make their submissions before the deadline (Wednesday 3rd May 11:59PM).

Participants will be assigned certified UI/UX experts as team to help on this awesome journey! The challenge provides a platform for individuals to showcase their creativity, work collaboratively, and receive recognition for their design skills.
Teams must consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of four participants. Teams can be formed before the event or during the curtain raiser event.
1st Place : Certificate + Kes.7,000 + Merch
1st Runners Up : Certificate + Kes.5000
2nd Runners Up : Certificate + Kes.3000
To ensure a fair and competitive event, participants must adhere to the rules and guidelines of the hackathon. Participants must work in teams of between two to four people. All submissions must be original work and the intellectual property of the participating team. Participants must submit all entries by the submission deadline.
