The competition aims to stimulate machine learning innovation in the field of smart wireless sensors. The competition focuses on machine learning algorithms, image processing, audio processing, GPS and smart positioning, LTE connectivity, etc. The goal is to develop new applications and use cases based on the Spresense platform.

The contest is open to all students from ETH Zurich, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Liverpool. The reasons why you should consider participating are:

1. High Winning Chance: not too many teams from these three universities are expected to participate. Your chances of winning are reasonably high. There will be three winning teams, increasing your odds of success.

2. Valuable Prizes: Sony is offering valuable prizes for the winning teams, adding an extra incentive to participate and showcase your skills.

3. The winning teams will be invited to present their projects at Manchester Metropolitan University hosted by Sony. Your travel costs will be covered.

4. Internship Opportunities: Depending on the project you develop, there may be further internship opportunities at Sony, providing valuable real-world experience and potential career prospects.
