About this event

This event is over!

A recording of this event is available at the bottom of this page. You also can find the completed code from this workshop here:

We highly encourage that you not just fork the repository and start building, but that you really read through each line and understand how the bot is structured and how it functions. The README in the repository has more details and more resources that will help you walk through the bot's code and help you add your own functionality to it.

Hopefully you mess around with this over the semester break and make your own bot out of this!

In our final workshop of the semester, we'll be delving into Node.js, a popular way of running Javascript code outside of the browser. Along the way, we'll be building a Discord bot that takes advantage of Node.js's development ecosystem.

This is a hybrid event happening on Discord and in-person at the CS Lounge!
