Are you interested in learning the basics of web development? Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll create your own Linktree page from scratch!

This event is meant for beginners with little to no existing background in web development. We'll explore web development starting at the very basics: HTML and CSS. Even if you have almost no programming experience, students who are interested in getting into web development are encouraged to join this event!

In Part 1 of our Web Dev Crash Course series, we'll be going over HTML semantics, CSS basics, and some general best practices to follow in web development when dealing with HTML and CSS. By the end of the event you'll have created a webpage similar to Linktree that you can share online! Customize it to your liking based on what you learn in the workshop!

What if our Linktree page could be dynamic by responding to user inputs or showing live data like our GitHub commits or profiles from our favorite video games? Stay tuned for part 2 of our Web Dev Crash Course where we learn the basics of Javascript to pull live data to display on our webpage. Become a member of our chapter page to get future event notifications!

There are no prerequisites to join this event, but we do ask that you create a GitHub account to use during the event.

RSVP today and take your first steps towards becoming a web developer!
