How do I participate?

Everyone who wants to participate will need to apply at: https://www.gdschacks.com/

We hope to admit as many people as we can however, we are reviewing applications on a rolling basis so the sooner you apply the better!

🔹 The Hacking: Hacking will start after our opening ceremony and team building workshop at 12am on Saturday (yes at night) and hackers (you) are free to code up until 8am on Sunday.

🔹 Overnight: This is a two night overnight event, there will be designated male/female sleeping areas, if you choose to sleep :). But feel free to setup camp with your team anywhere in the event space.

🔹 Free Everything: The event is completely free we will be supplying all participants with food, snacks, and drinks.

🔹 Workshops and Activities: Throughout the event there will be a mix of fun activities and technical workshops that everyone can participate in

⭐️ You've never been to a hackathon: The focus of GDSC Hacks is fun and so making this your first hackathon experience could be the perfect introduction to the world of hackathons.

⭐️ You like to learn: Hackathons are all about learning, meeting new people, and having fun - so if you like any of those things apply to participate!

⭐️ In it for the experience: Working in a team in a time crunch trying to build something in a short amount of time is super fun!

⭐️ Prizes: The best projects will be decided during our judging period and those teams will win awesome prizes!
