We go again 🎉 What is Hacktoberfest, you ask? It's an annual event hosted by DigitalOcean in partnership with GitHub and other sponsors, where the global community is encouraged to contribute to open source projects. The benefits of participating in Hacktoberfest are numerous - you get to improve your coding skills, network with other developers, contribute to the open-source community, and even earn a Hacktoberfest swag kit! Now, if you're wondering about participation without being a programmer, don't worry! Contributions are not limited to code. You can contribute to documentation, design, and more. Every contribution counts towards Hacktoberfest! To register for Hacktoberfest, you need to sign up on the Hacktoberfest official website with your GitHub account. Once registered, you can start contributing to any open-source project on GitHub. Finding projects to contribute to is easy. GitHub labels issues with 'Hacktoberfest' for easy identification. You can filter and search for these issues based on your interests and skills. To earn a Hacktoberfest swag kit, you must make at least 4 pull requests to any public GitHub repository that is participating in Hacktoberfest during the month of October. Join us on this exciting journey as 13 institutions collaborate to host this international Hacktoberfest event. Let's learn, network, and contribute to open-source projects together! 🗓Date: Friday, 27th October 2023. 🎟Register here (for free): https://t.ly/tVEc9 Stay tuned for more updates and speaker announcements! 🟥🟦🟩🟨
