You already use ChatGPT in the browser, but how do you incorporate the technology into your own product? In this coding workshop Cameron Henneke, founder of GQueues, will lead us in building a custom Google Chat bot with Python on Google Cloud using the ChatGPT and Image APIs from OpenAI. We’ll deep-dive into the Google Chat API and explore how to use Cloud Functions and Cloud Datastore to create a stateful, server-less architecture to make our bot even smarter.
By the end of the night you’ll have a working bot, customized to your own preferences, and plenty of ideas for what you can build next with ChatGPT.
Anyone can attend and watch as we build the bot, but if you want to code along you’ll need the following:
1. An OpenAI Account with free trial credits or billing enabled.
2. A Google Cloud account with your @colorado.edu email address, with free trial credits or billing enabled.
3. A basic understanding of Python is helpful.
