We are delighted to welcome Esperanza Lopez Aguillera and Laura Hayes to address the Club on Thursday!

Esperanza has worked with the NASA Frontier Development Lab using Machine Learning to detect exoplanets. She currently works with the Machine Learning team in Kx.

Laura Hayes, a past TCD alum in having done Theoretical Physics and having completed her PhD in 2018, works in the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as a researcher. Her research focuses on the multi-wavelength study of solar flares, and will be addressing how she uses ML and AI to study these.
