TMU students are tasked with creating a side project over the course of the winter break (Dec 18 - Jan 14). After the due date, members of the CSCU and GDSC will judge the projects and choose the top 5-10 (depending on amount of submissions). We will then have a live stream over Twitch (date TBD) where the chosen participants will get to showcase and demo their project again live, and a winner will be announced then.

We highly recommend doubling your submission for the GDSC Solution Challenge. GDSC Solution Challenge is a Google initative separate from the Side Project Competition that you can use your project here for to win $3000! To qualify, your solution must tackle one or more of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals using Google technology. 

There will be 2 winning teams, one for the entire Side Project Competition and one for the Best Use of Google Technology. All teams will be considered for both, but the same team cannot win both.
