GDSC's Game Development Workshops aim's to teach students the fundamental's to producing amazing games. There will be 3 workshops that cover from the basics of game development in python to the critical design principles that makes games pop.

The workshop is perfect for those new to programming and those that are sick of the mundane assigmnet spec. Game development provides an exiciting an interactive way to learn and practice coding. 

As a part of the program there will be three workshops:

• The first workshop will be focused on the fundamentals of python for game development, a refresher on what you may have learnt in INFO1110. This workshop will be held online Monday, 26th September at 2 - 3:30pm.
• The second and third workshops will be hosted at Google HQ, on the 28th of September 5 - 9pm. These workshops will deeper into game development using pyGame, teaching the syntax and the structure. Then we'll focus on the principles of game design that have lead to succesful titles. We'll take a break at the end and have dinner 🍕 and drinks, with time to chat to other students.

By the end of the workshops, you'll be in the perfect position to compete in the upcoming Game Jam. You'll have the tools, ideas and the team to produce the game of your dreams and aim for the top place.
