SHAMSUNDAR SUBBARAO - is currently, Head , of NIE-Centre For Renewable Energy & Sustainable
Technologies.(NIE-CREST) and Associate Professor in Department Of Mechanical Engineering at The
National Institute Of Engineering,( NIE), Mysore, India . The National Institute Of Engineering is one of the
prestigious Engineering Institute in India which has been started before independence .i.e. in the year 1946 .
He has done his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Karnataka University, Dharwad,
Karnataka, India during 1985-89 and Masters Degree in Renewable Energy,(1999-2000) from University of
Oldenburg, Germany, under prestigious DAAD scholarship (German Academic Exchange programs) .
He has over 20 years of experience in designing Renewable Energy and sustainable Technologies
systems. He is specialized in Biogas Technology from Kitchen waste for thermal, electricity and compression
to cylinders & Organic waste, RE- Microgrids, Biomass Energy Technologies , Solar Energy , Rainwater
harvesting , and other sustainable & green technologies . He also has more than 31 years of Teaching
Experience in the Higher education sector in the area of Mechanical Engineering Technologies.
He is also involved in International and National consultancy, & projects , promotion & dissemination of
Renewable & sustainable Technologies.
He actively participates in many rural development programs to promote renewable energy technologies in
rural Karnataka. He has conducted many workshops and training programs on Renewable Energy ,
Rainwater Harvesting technologies to the rural/urban people under service to community projects.
Mr. Narender. M is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. He has received his M. Tech. and B. E. from VTU and is pursuing his Ph.D.
His teaching and research interests are in the field of Software-defined networking, Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking and Data mining.
As a resource person, he has delivered multiple sessions on Cyber security and E-Commerce.
He has published 2 papers in Scopus indexed journal and is a co-author of a book chapter of a Springer book.
