(Speaker bio) : Sean is a veteran executive in Web3 innovation, cloud strategy and FinTech, and has a broad network of connections to crypto personalities from VCs to builders and key influencers. He is currently consulting for the Crypto Council for Innovation, a global alliance of crypto industry organisations with a mission to guide its work in policy advocacy and raising awareness of the benefits of virtual currency. He was previously the CEO of the Algorand Foundation, a top layer-1 blockchain protocol and top-20 token by market cap during his tenure. He also has an extensive background as an advisor, including his engagements at the Crypto Impact and Sustainability Accelerator (World Economic Forum), MIT Entrepreneurship & FinTech Innovation Node, and a number of early stage Web3 startups. Sean is a frequent speaker and has been quoted in Reuters, Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek, South China Morning Post, amongst others. He holds an Executive MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
