The GDSC at TU Dublin and the GDSC at NUI Galway are hosting a Virtual Game Conference, during the Halloween weekend. We have 15+ confirmed speakers from different backgrounds such as University lecturers, Game Studio CEOs, Developers, Artists, Composers,QA, Recruiters etc. Some of our featured companies include Riot Games, Vella and Romero Games. This event is aimed at giving students insights into different aspects of the gaming industry. The event is going to be completely virtual in order to provide as much accessibility as is possible to the GDSC Community. The event is going to be hosted on Zoom, for easy accessibility. The event is going to be held over 2 days from 11am to 4pm and as the event is virtual, attendees can take breaks, or tune in for the talks that interest them the most(we do recommend attending the entire event in order to gain appreciation and insight into the wonderfully complex labor of love that goes into the making of a game). We are also planning on providing attendees a “Game-Dev starter pack”, which would consist of essentials that are required for starting out as a game developer.
