About this event

Ever since I got into tech, I wanted to work at Google. And then, 2 years ago it suddenly happened, way earlier than anticipated and totally unexpected. However, it turned out to be very different from my imaginations, as I didn’t work on YT or Maps, but rather as an SRE on GCP - not as fancy, I thought at the time.

But it turns out that SRE, which was totally uncharted territory for me, was actually a lot more than I ever could have imagined - and in turn, I got really hooked on it.

That’s what I want to share with you: My journey to and at Google, and I want to open this side of tech to you that’s never taught in unis and unknown in most companies - until they grow big really quickly.
