Cheating in mobile games and apps is common. Going through walls, teleportation, and auto-aiming is the way to the top of the leaderboard for many cheaters. During the workshop, we will investigate the most common techniques that cheaters use, theoretically and with hands-on exercises. Afterwards, we will switch sides and take on the role of a game/app developer that wants to protect their game.

About this event

Cheating in mobile games and apps is common. Going through walls, teleportation, and auto-aiming is the way to the top of the leaderboard for many cheaters.

During the workshop, we will investigate the most common techniques that cheaters use, both theoretically and with hands-on exercises with the help of Guardsquare engineers. We will both use dynamic as well as static analysis and discover what they can achieve.
Afterward, we will switch sides and take on the role of a game/app developer that wants to protect their game. We will introduce various techniques that prevent and counter the earlier experiments.

We know that hard work makes people hungry, so we will provide snacks for everybody who participates! After the workshop, there will be a networking session where you can stay and chat with other students! :)
