GitHub is an online software development platform used for storing, tracking, and collaborating on software projects. It enables developers to upload their own code files and to collaborate with fellow developers on open-source projects. GitHub also serves as a social networking site in which developers can openly network, collaborate, and pitch their works. Thus, this workshop aims to provide basic knowledge on how to use GitHub with various useful functions. The participants will be guided to set up a high-quality profile and repository. This will benefit participants since GitHub offers students real-world experience with free access to various tools provided by GitHub and its partners. In addition, using GitHub for your projects is a practical way to collaborate with others and build a portfolio that is upstanding.
