About this event

It takes 21 days to form a new Habit! So on the occasion of International Women's Day (IWD), Google Developer Student Clubs of Sri Sairam Engineering College and Sri Sairam Institute of Technology are collaborating to conduct a 21- Day Coding Challenge for women to make coding a habit in 21 days.

This is a series of various events for women which empowers them with the up to date technical knowledge of the industry.


Google Developer Student Club is a community for students interested in Google technologies. Students from any course with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. By joining a GDSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their communities.

The first 20 days of the 21-days of code are segregated into 5 sets and are conducted online. Each set consists of a key concept of programming, Data Structures and Algorithms. Each set comprises a challenge consisting of 6 questions that has to be completed within the span of four days.The final contest will be hosted on the 21st day of the series.

Participants can solve the challenge in Hackerrank. A new challenge will be created every 4 days. Participants are required to solve it in the stipulated time(4 days) at their own pace. Python, C/C++, or Java are the programming languages accepted. This event is only recommended to the women who know the fundamentals of any of the mentioned languages.

The final contest will be held on the premises of Sairam Institutions on 28/03/2022.

Students who have shown consistency i.e completed all the challenges on a regular basis and the winners of the Finale event will be awarded swags and exciting prizes.

Note: 1. Resources and study materials for each set will be provided.

2. Solution for each set will be shared at the end of each set.

3. Sessions can be conducted on various topics if requested by majority.


The event is open to all women irrespective of their year of study, course and college.

Participants from SEC and SIT are supposed to attend the contest in offline mode whereas the other participants from other colleges can attend the contest virtually.

On the day of the finale, the students are instructed to wear masks and maintain social distance.

Students should attend and complete the given problems in the set within the stipulated time.

On submission of the solution, it will undergo a plagiarism check. If plagiarism is found, the student will be disqualified.

Python, C/C++, or Java are the programming languages accepted.
