The first technical event of the Google Developer Student Clubs - SASTRA chapter is around the corner. A virtual Android development workshop - “Jetpack Compose Camp” is scheduled to be held in the first week of October. It focuses on the intricacies of building android apps using Jetpack Compose. The attendees get an interactive hands-on session on the elements of android development and acquire the ability to build a native app at the end of the day. Students and enthusiastic developers from all colleges and universities are welcome irrespective of their prior knowledge in android development.

Basics of Kotlin - an introduction to the statically typed, general-purpose programming language, fundamentally used for cross-platform applications will be covered.

Basics of Jetpack - inception about the toolkit used for building native user interfaces.

A simple sample app - a demonstration by the team and simultaneous hands-on development by the attendees.

Final app - a detailed analysis and insights about a fully developed native android app.
