You don't have to stay the entire 2 hours of the event, you can drop by any time! :) Come to Golisano Atriumon Friday 25th Feb, any time between 1 pm - 3 pm to build or join new teams or recruit fellow RIT students for your existing teams to take on Google's Solution Challenge 2022: where you have to solve for one or more of the 17 UN SDGs using any Google Technology (projects due Mar 31)!

What is Google Solution Challenge?

Google Developers is hosting its annual Google Solution Challenge 2022 (Projects Due Mar 31). The challenge prompt is to solve for ANY one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals using ANY Google Tech.

Prizes for Google Solution Challenge:

> Top 3 winning teams receive $ 3000 cash prize per team member + swag

> Top 10 winning teams receive $ 1000 cash prize per team member + swag

> Top 50 teams receive personalized mentorship from Google + swag

> All participants receive a Google digital profile badge and official certificate

If you are interested in Google Solution Challenge, follow these steps:

STEP 1. Join the official RIT GDSC Platform here: https://gdsc.community.dev/rochester-institute-of-technology/ (required step to register for solution challenge)

STEP 2. Register for the Google Solution Challenge 2022 here: https://developers.google.com/community/gdsc-solution-challenge (the form will ask you to enter which GDSC Chapter you are signed up for!)

STEP 3. Build a team of up to 4 members for Google Solution Challenge projects.

STEP 4: Follow this timeline to guide you through the challenge. Submissions will be accepted between March 15 - March 31, 2022.

STEP 5: You can use RIT Women in Computing Hackathon on Feb 26 - 27th to build your Google Solution Challenge Project. Link for Registration for WiCHacks: https://wichacks.io/

How will RIT GDSC support you through this?

RIT GDSC WILL HELP DESIGN, REVIEW, AND TEST YOUR SOLUTION WITH THE HELP OF ITS EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS, PARTNERING CLUBS, PROFESSORS, LECTURERS, PEER MENTORS.
