Yianna is a Cyber Security Engineer at SEEK, where she focuses on Offensive Security (breaking things) and Application Security (helping teams secure things). She started her career in Computer Graphics and Design, studying a Bachelor in Digital Media Design where she quickly fell in love with the human element of technology. She channeled this into front-end development focusing on websites and software. Her passion for UX and psychology, quickly led to founding a Web Hosting and Development business, where she mentored designers, and lead software projects. She furthered her tech passion by studying a Bachelor of Computer Science, focusing her energy on systems, software engineering, and Virtual / Augmented Reality. Throughout all this, her passion to teach is channeled through her various volunteering for the past 5 years, teaching coding to children and adults. Her constant tinkering and curious nature have come together in a career path within Information Security - and she hasn't looked back.
