Mary Adewunmi is a Ph.D. Student in the Medical Science department at the University of Tasmania (UTAS), Hobart, Australia. She is a Computer Science graduate of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, and a master’s graduate of Lagos State University, Ojo, Nigeria. She works full-time as a medical AI research officer at UTAS, a freelance Lead Machine learning Engineer at Omdena, a part-time Data scientist/Artificial Intelligence Researcher, and a user support volunteer at Youversion International. She is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the British Association of Cancer Research (BACR), the European Association of Cancer Research (EACR), Women in Machine learning (WiML), Black in AI(BAI) and the Association of Data Scientists (ADASci). Her career goal is to speed up disease diagnosis and treatment using AI methods. She is a MOOC Addict and loves traveling and listening to Inspirational music.
