Micaela Papa is a Filipino journalist who has worked for the BBC in London and GMA Network in Manila. She is one of the youngest international award-winning broadcast journalists in the Philippines, best known for disaster coverage such as her firsthand report of Supertyphoon Haiyanβ in 2013 (part of the GMA News collective entry that won the prestigious Peabody award) and her documentaries on social issues, such as 2013's Brigada documentary "Gintong Krudo" which garnered several awards, including the Silver World Medal at the New York Festivals and the One World Award from the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers.
Papa has served as presenter and reporter for episodes of the BBC World Service programmes βThe Compass,β and βWorld Hacks,β and has produced episodes of βProfileβ for BBC Radio 4. She has also done two-way interviews for other international media networks such as Canada's CBC News.
Papa was a recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship and the One World Media Production Grant.
Eunicia Mediodia is a project manager/reporter for a global media start-up company. Prior to this, she has experienced working for the Office of the Press Secretary (formerly known as Presidential Communications Operations Office) as a producer. She also worked for GMA Network as a content producer having to interview Kapuso artists and promoting their shows. She also handled special programs like KDramas, JDramas, movies, etc to engage audiences and ensure viewership of the said shows. She participated in the video contest by the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Center for Public Diplomacy and Arirang TV channel to promote Korea and its culture to the global audience, having won the outstanding achievement award.
She is a certified Master Trainer for Limitless Lab, the local implementing partner of ASEAN foundation, funded by Google.org to educate communities about digital literacy which aims to combat misinformation and disinformation especially in the underserved ones.
She is also a vegan, a mental health and persons with disabilities rights advocate. She likes to volunteer with different non-government organizations to help them achieve their goals in society and create change.
For the past six years, Marie has worked as a Digital Marketing Expert, gaining experience working for both brands and media agencies. This has given her a 360-degree perspective on marketing and how it should function as a single unit to have the most influence on consumers. Prior to joining ADA, she was the Performance Lead for Storylabs at Summit Media Inc., one of the nation's top digital lifestyle networks. There, she collaborated with a number of top publishers and brands, including Cosmopolitan, Top Gear, Subaru, Unilever, Cebu Pacific, Robinsons, and Summit Books, to continue growth and transformation for their omni-channels.
She is also a certified Google Master Trainer under the ASEAN Digital Literacy Programme in the Philippines, where she is actively educating Filipinos one at a time to make the country more digitally literate.
