What is Google Cloud Platform? ☁️🗄️🗄️

Google Cloud Platform has been around since 2011 and has become one of the top cloud service providers with over 100+ products across compute, storage, networking, and much more. It powers most of the apps we use in our day to day life like Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. Gartner also named Google Cloud as a market leader in Cloud AI Developer Services, which further cements its positions as a provider of AI based solutions.

What will this session cover? 📋

We will start by giving you a brief idea of what the cloud is, and why Google Cloud should be your preferred cloud service provider. We will tell you about some of the key points you should know about cloud computing in order to understand why cloud computing is really important in the coming few years. 

If you don't know anything about the cloud, we got you covered. We will start right from the basics and tell you all the things that you need to know to get started in the domain. We are here for all the help and guidance that you need.

Then we will deep dive into the program to tell you more about how this can help you get vital cloud skills and prepare you for a cloud-first world. We will tell you how to get registered for the program and walk you through the entire process. We will also tell you about the benefits of being a part of this program, which include getting lots of cool goodies and also access to the Career Readiness Program.

The Career Readiness Program is Google's flagship program for students wanting to have a career in cloud computing. It provides them with both the theoretical and the practical knowledge required to help them prepare for industry ready careers and certification. The program has two tracks, the Associate Cloud Engineer track and the Data Analyst track, which prepare students for the respective certifications associated with them. The Google Cloud Career Readiness Program also has a host of other cool opportunities about which we will be telling you all during the session.

We also have some distinguished students who have been a part of the program and they will share their experiences as well as tell you why this should be the program of your choice to get started in cloud computing. They have been an integral part towards making the program a grand success.
