Jay is the head of data science for the global patents team at Google. Prior to Google, he held data science and product management positions at legal, insurance, and social media companies, and has consulted in e-commerce and various government agencies including the DoD and NGA. Jay holds a Ph.D. in political science from Penn State University, where he leveraged machine learning and NLP to forecast political instability.
