This week only! Dr. Lee Giles will be offering his expertise on Artificial Intelligence to the DSC community Wednesday night! Dr. Giles is the David Reese Professor at the School of IST. He is the Affiliate Professor of CSE, Supply Chain, and Information Systems. He was also a member of the NEC Research Institute. In addition to this, he has been associated with several universities including Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia and many more.

Dr. Giles and his research team has over 400 published documents, over 30,000 citations and his h-index is 86. Interested in reading some of his work? His main areas of concentration are Machine & Deep Learning, AI, Text Processing and Knowledge Extraction, and Information Retrieval and Web Search. He also has novel applications of neural and machine learning, agents and artificial intelligence.

Recently, Dr. Giles’ work on deep learning has been recognized by the IEEE and the International Neural Network Society (INNS) for which he received respectively an IEEE Pioneer Award and the INNS Gabor Award!
