Google Developer Student Club - PU is delighted to announce that we're coming with a very unique Expert Session of this year with a very new topic: “Usage of Supercomputer in Emerging Areas”. 

About High-Performance Computing (HPC)
High-performance computing (HPC) is the ability to process data and perform complex calculations at high speeds. To put it into perspective, a laptop or desktop with a 3 GHz processor can perform around 3 billion calculations per second. While that is much faster than any human can achieve, it pales in comparison to HPC solutions that can perform quadrillions of calculations per second. 

About Parul Own's Supercomputer - PARAM SHAVAK DL
Many of us are still unknown that Parul University received a Grant of Param Shavak Supercomputer of Cost near INR 12,00,000 from Gujarat Council On Science And Technology (GUJCOST), Government of Gujarat for Supercomputer so that University could benefit from its huge use cases. This beast machine carries crazy specifications: Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000, Intel Xeon Gold 6145 (40 cores), 96GB RAM, 16TB HDD, etc.

About Our Guest - Mr. Ankit Chouhan
He is Manager at Supercomputer Lab & Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Parul University. He has 9+ years of experience in the teaching profession.
- His expertise is in Information Security, Project Management & Testing, and High-performance Computing.
- Received Grant of Param Shavak Supercomputer (INR 1200000), AR Explorer Startup (INR178000), and a grant of 1800 Euros from WUST, Wroclaw, Poland.
- Represented Parul University and coordinated many National & International Exchange Programs (Russia, Canada, Poland).
