A hands-on workshop on the most basic tool.

Patch 3.03 came out? BGMI version 0.89.801 came out? How do you track stuff like that? Want to go back to an earlier patch? How does one track change? Would you rather work and note every change you do to the code or let the software take control? In comes Git, flying through the cloud, saving the lives of millions of budding developers.

Version control (also known as revision control, source control, or source code management) is a class of systems responsible for managing changes to computer programs, documents, large websites, or other collections of information. Version control is a component of software configuration management. Git provides an open-source option to this class of software.

Join us in an introductory session on Bash, Git, and GitHub. We'll introduce you guys to the basics, software concepts, and commands to use in the CLI, as well as an easy alternative using the GUI Github interface. This will come into use later whenever you're involved in any sort of project. Anyone can register, as long as they're students of NITS. So Register quickly with the following Google Form:
