Why learn Android Development?

1) Android is an Open Source operating system (Linux-based). This makes the source code freely available for anyone to use and offers great freedom to developers.

2) There is a huge device market share for Android applications, and Android has been the best-selling mobile operating system worldwide in the last decade.

3) There is an easy entry to market: To build an Android app, all you need to do is register yourself as a developer, create your APK, and submit it to the Android mobile application development platform.
