This hands-on experience is the first of a 2-part series that will prepare software engineering students for classes like ECSE 321 and ECSE 428, and will provide everyone with the foundations to build a proper application. No experience with Gradle or Spring Boot is needed, however some experience in Java is recommended.

Join our workshop to experience Java development with Spring Boot!

This hands-on experience is the first of a 2-part series that will prepare software engineering students for classes like ECSE 321, ECSE 428, and COMP 303, and will provide everyone with the foundations to build a proper application. No experience with Gradle or Spring Boot is needed, however some experience in Java is recommended.

During the workshop, you will:

  1. Review and build a simple domain model
  2. Setup a Spring Boot project with Gradle
  3. Learn how to lay the foundations for a Full Stack Model-View-Controller application
