A two-day hands-on session, “Build with me #Flutter”, was conducted as a part of the activities organized by DSC Flutter/Android MACE. After assessing the increasing demand and the ease of work achieved with Flutter in the field of mobile applications, DSC MACE took the initiative to provide a completely beginner-friendly, interactive event for students to get familiarized with the platform.

The event was a two-day online hands-on session on mobile app development using Flutter, aimed at providing a basic idea of Flutter and its working to the participants. The two-day event consisted of two 1-hour sessions each from 5 PM to 6PM, and an additional session at 4PM on the second day to clarify queries and issues faced by the participants during the installation process.

Around 50 students actively participated in the introductory session on the first day, handled by Mr. Varghese Babu, aimed at providing a simple outline of the platform, details of the installation process and a live demo of an in-built flutter project. The second day witnessed a session at 4PM to help participants who faced issues in setting up the required essentials. A live demonstration commenced at 5PM which dealt with creating a simple Calculator app using flutter, nicely handled by Mr. Athul John and Mr. Tom K Mangattu, thereby enlightening the participants about various aspects and keynotes of programming and app development using flutter.
