Android Study Jams are community-organized study groups for people to learn how to build Android apps in the Kotlin programming language, using the curriculum provided by Google.
This is an event series for people who have prior programming experience and are interested in learning Android app development with the support of a study group.
Starting on 30 December 2020, we will be meeting together to learn the essentials of the Kotlin programming language and the fundamentals of how to build Android apps in Kotlin. The first session is about ramping up on the Kotlin programming language, including syntax and basic language features, and the second one on 31 December 2020, where we’ll start diving into Android development with a curriculum offered by Google.
All you need to bring is your laptop computer. Don't forget to install Android Studio ahead of time. Having an Android device is optional, but if you do have one, bring that with a USB cable so you can learn to run your apps on your device.
Your knowledge will build on itself week over week as you build a collection of Android apps that showcase what you’ve learned. There’s never been a better time to learn Android development in Kotlin,
so we hope to see you soon!
