The Google Solution Challenge is an annual initiative that encourages students to use Google technologies to solve problems related to one of the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals. This is an excellent opportunity for students to use their skills and creativity to positively impact the world and get involved in tech even if they haven’t previously. This year, we are excited to have a Google speaker talk about Flutter, an application development technology. We will also use the platform provided by our sponsor Kinsta, to run a workshop to deploy Flutter, or you can create a WordPress website based on the UN SDGs. The participants will be grouped into four and provided access to the Kinsta dashboard to deploy Flutter or a website. Requirements: Participants should each bring a laptop. Details about the event - Registration for the solution challenge is now officially OPEN. This is an expression of interest only, and you do not need to have formed the team before coming to this event. - Submissions will be accepted between March 17 - March 31, 2023. - Finalists and top 3 winners receive customised mentorship from Google, $3,000 cash prizes, and swag! - The same judging criteria and rules for team formation (up to 4 people) will apply in 2023. To keep up with our events to help develop your skills, become a chapter member! There will also be a small Q&A for you at the end of this session!
