About this event

In Collaboration with the UCL Business Society! Steven has experienced what it is like to be the Chief Financial Officer of a non-profit organisation and then in the middle of a world pandemic, stepped up to be the interim CEO. Steven will join us to talk about his journey in these positions, he will share his tips and advices for people imagining a career at an NGO and will explain what it is like to be working at UNICEF UK – of course, pre-COVID.

When we think about a career in business, NGOs don’t necessarily pop into our minds as a first option. This, however, is partially caused by the fact that we do not know too much about the way they operate. We all know that they exist to help a given cause, in this case the health and right of children specifically, but there is much more going on in the backstage of these organisations. Steven will be our personal tour guide, who will introduce us to the life of one of the largest and most well-known NGOs, specifically from a financial point of view.

Please join us if you can imagine yourself working at a non-profit, if you’d like to know a bit more about UNICEF or if you think listening to Steven on a Tuesday afternoon is something that could bring some excitement into your week. We will be there… hope you will be too. Sign up now and join our call!
