In 2019, Uber was extremely close to losing their license to operate in the UK, but managed to turn it around. From the licensing appeal against TfL to their response to the Supreme Court rulings, Jamie Heywood, then leader of Uber UK, played a pivotal role in why Uber UK continues to operate successfully to this day. Jamie has served as Regional General Manager of Uber's UK, Northern and Eastern Europe business, leading Uber Rides' business across 12 countries.
