About this event

In the old days, we were programming computers to do certain tasks. Now, we are training them to write programs for us. This is machine learning in a nutshell. The basic idea is to make decisions based on a certain amount of information you have.
Ever came about an article describing Tesla’s Computer vision or Deepmind’s crazy games crushing human players. You wanted to read more and googled it, you went on to read about regression classification, clustering …….Ugh, I read everything. Next, how do I test my hypothesis on a model? How do I understand what the legendary Deepmind paper wanted to say? Do I know enough? Who do I ask …..

Research is all about answering all these questions. While the above will, of course, be useful, there will be a lot more you will need to do. That’s exactly what we’re going to have a discussion on, for anyone who is curious about machine learning or is intimidated by the vast areas of research in this domain but has no idea where to start this event is surely going to help you get started with ML research.
